Should I take rest days?

The last couple of days, we talked about changing your mindset from negative to positive. We know nowadays that you are reading everywhere about transformations and some kind of workout or self-improvement program. Of course, you should work and become the best version of yourself, and of course, you should change your mindset. But you also need some rest days. Or we can call it an active rest day.

Let’s talk about Sunday. As I write this, it’s Sunday—a peculiar day for many, yet perfect for self-care. Though we suggest Sunday, feel free to choose any day of the week for your rest day. Remember, this rest day should happen once a week.

Here is what you can do on this “active rest day”:

  • Catch up with your friends. Go outside, get some vitamin D, and have a nice chat with friends.

  • Take a break from social media. Don’t try to avoid it, but take a break from it for one day.

  • Go shopping. This one does not need explanation.

  • Clean around the house. Sunday is the perfect day for this task.

  • Cook something and have lunch or dinner with your family. You can make this a Sunday ritual.

  • Do not push with a hard workout. Use stretching or yoga on Sunday. Good for your body and good for your soul.

  • Get ready for the new week ahead of you.

Rest is as important as work. Incorporating a weekly rest day can prevent burnout and keep you balanced.Continue reading www.worldviews.info for more insights. See the world through new eyes!
