Should I fit in?

Throughout our lives, we have all wondered, "Why can't I fit in?" In addition to being asked frequently throughout the teenage years, this question is also asked after one becomes a bit older - particularly after college. You have the impression that everyone else is out and about and that you are all alone. Guess what? Actually, that is not a terrible thing.

This does not imply that you have no friends or that you will always be alone. It simply indicates that you are not on the same level as your lifelong friends. People change, but you also do. Just because you have known someone since you were little does not mean that you should be friends with them for life.

You should see this as a compliment and consider it to be a really good thing. Perhaps you are simply more mature and outgrow those around you. Or perhaps you've simply moved on to other interests. We are unable to live our entire lives with the same people in a single environment. You'll ultimately find the area that interests you. Simply keep acting in accordance with your own moral convictions and put aside the opinions of others.

Stay true to yourself and to your family. That’s what matters. You will outshine everything that is trying to bring you down right now. Do not stress or feel depressed if you do not fit in. That means your place is simply not there. Keep moving and keep working on yourself. Shine!
