An old saying goes, "All it takes to defeat evil is to do nothing." It refers to the absence of reaction to other people's evil directed at you. When you don't react to them at all but pretend they didn't happen or that those people don't exist, the event and the evil people won't really have any effect on anything.
They realize that everything they have done is in vain, and to make matters worse, they do not know what you know or what you think, and this drives them crazy, confuses their reason, and prevents them from succeeding in their nefarious purpose. And that's why I'll say it again: ignoring is the mother of all revenges.
A better choice would be to speak through your actions. Don't let your emotions rule your actions. Do not allow revenge to cloud your mind, and treat it as a personal matter. Because sooner or later, it will make you feel bad. It is best to continue doing what you do best without looking back, without gossip, and without having unnecessary conversations with those who do not deserve your attention.
In such a situation, the worst thing you can do for yourself is to isolate yourself. When attacked, especially by a close friend or relative, most people tend to withdraw and isolate themselves. In fact, that's what the villains want - to isolate yourself and withdraw as if you're guilty. It is best to let things rest for a while, but you should not distance yourself from the people around you. And the worst reaction on your part is that if you get annoyed and retaliate with rage, you are only feeding the one whose goal was exactly that.
If you still want to take revenge, become more successful. Nothing will hurt an evil person more than other people's happiness. If someone tries to pull you down, your best bet is to go up. It's simple; you just have to focus on your goals instead of revenge, because revenge is like a forest in which you can easily get lost.
