Despite the fact that the other common factors of success involve self-management, this aspect is somewhat more specific than the others. Self-management means the ability to manage our own behavior. To manage our thoughts and emotions in a conscious and productive way.
People who consistently win consciously, conscientiously, and intentionally take care of themselves. They know that they themselves are the most important resource they have for achieving their goals. They actively take care of their own mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. They do not easily succumb to passions, so when they go to their goal, they do not forget about the rest of their lives.
Exercise, recreation, and family time are also things on which they focus their energy. In this way, they never run out of energy to work and do not get involved in a relationship that is not entirely healthy and that drains them of energy. They either prioritize them for repair or eliminate them. Those people are not self-destructive. They take care of themselves because they intend to get from where they started to the goal.
