Health is the greatest wealth

Immunity refers to the body's resistance to the causative agents of specific diseases. In our daily lives, we encounter numerous bacteria and viruses that can cause various illnesses. Whether our bodies succumb to these pathogens depends directly on our immunity.

We distinguish between two types of immunity: innate and acquired. We inherit innate immunity at birth, while acquired immunity develops after exposure to certain diseases or through vaccination. The strength of our immunity largely depends on our lifestyle. Common factors contributing to weakened immunity include poor nutrition, mental and emotional stress, alcohol consumption, sudden climate changes, and large temperature variations. Symptoms of weakened immunity may include chronic fatigue, sleepiness, muscle pain, frequent illness, and outbreaks of conditions like herpes.

Impaired immunity lays the groundwork for many diseases. Therefore, it is crucial to continuously strengthen our immunity and enhance our overall health. Strengthening immunity is closely linked to our daily nutrition. Adequate intake of vitamins and minerals is paramount.

A varied and balanced diet serves as the best preventive measure. In today's fast-paced world, people often resort to fast food and industrially processed meals due to time constraints. However, prioritizing fresh produce and home-cooked meals is always preferable. Additionally, considering certain nutritional supplements, especially during the winter months, can be beneficial. A balanced diet, sufficient sleep, regular exercise, outdoor activities, fresh and healthy food choices, stress management, and the use of recommended nutritional supplements advised by a healthcare professional or pharmacist are proven methods to maintain immunity and promote good health.
